Thirteen Ghanaian agricultural students left Ghana and began an 11-month paid internship agricultural practice training in Israel. This group is the fourth batch of students, bringing the number of students trained under the Ghana-Israel Greenhouse Technology Program to 500.

While in Israel, the students will work on a cooperative farm called Kibbutz, where they will work for five days and spend one day in the classroom.

The plan is to help beneficiaries in capacity building, they are expected to save part of the allowance and use it to establish their own agricultural business when they return.

The team coordinator, Prince Kwame Boakye, stated that the team will work on different farms, where they will be supervised by technical experts to ensure that they acquire the correct skills for practical agriculture.

"Both countries have taken many measures to make their stay in Israel an unforgettable one, because the country enjoys a good reputation in agriculture," said Mr. Ankobia. He also urged them to take this opportunity and come back with smart ideas to change the country's agricultural sector by sharing knowledge to improve the socio-economic status of other compatriots.
