The largest greenhouse in the Netherlands has recently been put into use for growing strawberries. Beekers Berries in Made chose to build a modern multi-span greenhouse covering an area of 7.8 hectares. The AgrowSer Poly greenhouse is equipped with double-sided continuous ridge ventilation, driven by the reliable technology of De Gier Drive Systems.
The greenhouse is used to grow strawberries on the overhanging drainage ditch, making full use of natural conditions. Beekers Berries chose a greenhouse instead of building a glass greenhouse in order to achieve production spread, based on the quality and unique performance of today's greenhouses.
The internal conditions of the greenhouse can be close to the external conditions, which is a major advantage of this structure. The modern AgrowSer Multispan polyethylene greenhouse by Beekers Berries has a roof size of 9.60 meters in Gothic style. The drive system Multispan greenhouse is equipped with a double-sided continuous roof ventilation system to ensure the best ventilation capacity of the polyethylene greenhouse. Importantly, the 242-meter-long roof is equipped with a fully functional roof ridge ventilation system. To achieve this goal, AgrowSer relies on the technology of De Gier Drive Systems.
